Are you a non-member osteopath?
If you are, then you're missing out. The AOA offers many valuable benefits to its members, from reductions in cost on professional insurance and a range of goods and services, to a genuine commitment to promote the profession both to the public and to other healthcare professionals.
Above all though, the AOA offers Osteopaths a united voice. The fact that only 100 or so Osteopaths in Victoria were able to bring about a change in the Registration Acts is a tribute to what we can achieve if we speak with one voice. It is not generally realised that the AOA functions on a fairly limited budget, with most work being done by unpaid volunteers.
In view of these limitations, what the Association has been able to achieve in the last ten years is remarkable. However, we would always like to do more, and the only way to do this is with the full support of all members of the profession. So, if you’re not a member, join now and help us achieve a stronger, more cohesive profession. Contact the Federal AOA office for details - 02 9410 0099.
