Seminars

The Australian Osteopathic Association on an ongoing basis provides seminars.

Evening Seminar programs (ESP) are provided three to four times per year in each state capital city by the AOA. Contact the relevant State Council for details.

In addition to the ESP, the AOA holds an annual conference. The aim of the Convocation is to bring Osteopaths together from around Australia and from other parts of the world in a seminar, which combines both academic and social aspects. The AOA convocation provides a blend of international osteopathic practitioners with the opportunity to exchange ideas and develop global relationships for the betterment of the profession. The AOA Convocation has recently been held in Australia, Fiji and in New Zealand.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

It is the aim of the Australian Osteopathic Association to continually improve and standardise the professional competency of its members. The primary objective of continuing professional development is continued excellence in the delivery of osteopathic health care services to the public.

It is the purpose of the Osteopathy Board of Australia (OBA) to formulate, oversee and implement guideline accreditation procedures, data collection and storage with respect to registered practising Osteopaths continuing professional development.
